No puedo empezar a hablar de Jenn y Cefe sin antes darle el crédito y enorme agradecimiento a Susan Niederstrasser ( hermana de Jenn) que gracias a ella todo ésto pudo ser posible, gracias Susan por todo y también por la increíble carta que me mandaste misma que publicaré aquí.  Conocí a Jenn, Cefe y Samadi (su pequeño angelito) una mañana en Perisur y fue en este momento cuando supe lo afortunado que era en conocerlos, describir todas las cualidades, habilidades y demás cosas que rodean a J+C es muy complejo, son dos extraordinarias personas, muy amigables, atentos y super buena onda.  Hace unas cuantas horas hable con Jenn y me dijo que escribiera que había sido la novia mas despistada y lenta que haya tenido , No comentare mas.    Su boda realizó en Tonatíco, Estado de México, iniciamos con los preparativos de toda la familia, mamá, hermana, tias, primas y por su puesto la novia, después la ceremonia religiosa en la iglesia del pueblo, nuestra sesión de fotos en el campo de Golf de Ixtapan y  por ultimo la fiesta.  No me queda mas que dejarlos con algunas de las fotos de uno de los días mas maravillosos de J+C, les agradezco enormemente sus atenciones, su tiempo, su amistad, gracias por todo y les deseo lo mejor de lo mejor en esta nueva aventura.

CARTA SUSAN:
La capacidad de “cambiar de forma” y mimetizarse con el entorno es un tema recurrente entre distintas tribus y una cualidad de sus chamanes (shapeshifting en inglés). Las variantes son muchas: desde transformarse en un árbol, hasta convertirse en un jaguar para poder cruzar silenciosamente la selva amazónica. Para lograrlo se necesita tener varias características, entre ellas el silencio, mucha sensibilidad y la apertura –en el cuerpo, la mente y el corazón- para disolverse con “lo otro”.

Ver a Sergio trabajar es ver a un mago de la cámara totalmente presente en su actividad, y a la vez, invisible y silencioso, mimetizado con la situación. Su lente puede estar muy cerca, y aun así no ser intrusivo. Sergio se mueve por los espacios y los momentos igual que el jaguar por la selva, confiado, seguro, silencioso, atento y rápido cuando es necesario. Además, su compañía es de lo más agradable y sus ojos no dejan de sonreír.

I cannot start talking about Jenn and Cefe without acknowledging and thanking the support and trust of Susan Niederstrasser (Jenn’s sister), who make possible this experience and who also sent me an amazing letter, which I would like to share in this blog with all of you because of the special meaning it has for me. I met Jenn, Cefe and Samedi (their little cherub) one morning at Perisur. At that very precise moment, I knew how lucky I was to meet them. To describe all their qualities, abilities and all that surrounds J&C is not an easy assignment: briefly, they are two of the coolest persons in the world… Some minutes before I started writing this post, I was at the telephone with Jenn and she asked me to mention that she had been one of the most clueless and slowly brides I have worked with, so no more comments on my part. Their weeding took place in Tonatico, Estado de México. We started with the preparation of everyone in the family: mother, sister, cousins, aunts, and of course, the bride!! Then, the ceremony at Tonatico’s town church, the photo session at the golf course in Ixtapan and finally, the party!! With nothing left to say, I invite you to see the pictures of one of the most wonderful days in the life of J&C. I deeply thank you for all your attentions, your time and your friendship. I wish you all the best in this new adventure.

SUSAN’S LETTER:
The ability to reshape and blending with the environment is a recurring theme among different tribes and an intrinsic quality of their shamans (shapeshifting, as we say in English). The variations are numerous, from becoming a tree, till transforming into a jaguar to quietly cross the Amazon rainforest. In order to do so, you need to meet several features, including silence, a lot of sensitivity and the openness –in the heart, mind and body- to dissolve into “the other”.

To observe Sergio working is to see a camera magician, totally present in his activity, but at the same time, invisible and noiseless, unified with the context. His lens could be pretty close without being intrusive. Sergio moves among the spaces and the moments as a jaguar in the jungle, confident, silent, attentive and fast when necessary. Furthermore, his company is enjoyable and his eyes never stop smiling.

What a beautiful experience, I look forward to see the pictures!!!
